This is my lidded project. I had originally decided to use hard slab clay that was rolled by the roller table instead of the wheel because I wanted to try something different. I never took the class ceramics one because I had went straight from art 9 to intermediate ceramics. I had also never gotten the chance to really crave a project and make it completely by hand, no machines involved. This project is glazed orange with a flower detail. The light blue side and lid are craved with a sun, heart, flower and holes to give the lantern some originality. Then lastly the green side has lines into it and also little holes through out the side. This lantern has multiple examples of balance and contrast through out the different cravings and details this lantern possesses. This lantern was planned originally planed to hold candles and to let the light shine through the engraving and give positive light into a room.
